I’m a Professor of English at Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, Virginia. I write and teach about twentieth- and twenty-first century literature, with special interests in modernism, poetry, and disability.
My book, Transatlantic Modernism and the US Lecture Tour (Oxford UP, 2021), was awarded the Modernist Studies Award First Book Prize. My articles on modern literature and culture have appeared in such journals as PMLA, Modernism/modernity, NOVEL, and Twentieth-Century Literature, among others. I’m also an Associate Editor of the journal College Literature. My current work focuses on bad eyesight in modern art and literature.
I regularly speak on the topics related to transnational modernisms, modern and contemporary poetry, and disability studies. For my teaching at Randolph-Macon, I was awarded the Thomas Branch Award for Excellence in Teaching in 2020. You can contact me about my work here.
